Empowerment and Global Governance

Philia and global governance: Nicole Bogott, impACT co-founder spoke at the International sef: Expert Workshop 2018 titled “Goodbye to elitism: Anchoring global governance in societies”. Why? Social entrepreneurs play a vital role in tackling the SDGs in sustainable ways; especially in fragile contexts. Therefore, they have much of the same goals as traditional global governance institutions.

Our core message: What holds social entrepreneurs back in any context it is the lack of access to networks, resources and knowledge. A more conducive environment will benefit social entrepreneurs to work alongside traditional actors towards achieving the SDGs together by including vital bottom-up approaches.

Many thanks to the Development and Peace Foundation and the Institute for Development and Peace for hosting this important workshop with the support of the State Government of North Rhine-Westphalia land.nrw
