Philia supports the global impACT initiative, that supports fora in order to promote an ethical economy based on social entrepreneurship, globally.
In Frankfurt, the startup ecosystem is vibrant and full of passionate citizens wanting to actively create a positive change for their country. Local and migrant entrepreneurs are deeply rooted within the startup community. Especially places such as Social Impact Lab facilitate co-creation and startup growth.
On the 1st of November 2018, the impACT Frankfurt Conference was successfully launched at Social Impact Lab in Frankfurt, Germany. impACT Frankfurt brought together German and migrant entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs as well as corporates. Out of 80 participants, there were many migrants from various countries around the world. The aim of impACT was to support entrepreneurs to meet and discuss new avenues of cooperation and support. Participating organisations were NBSAD, Social Impact Lab and Philia.
Various speakers gave engaging workshops during breakout sessions. In these sessions, participants learned in smaller groups about empowerment and design thinking.
